The Coronavirus disease effects each person differently. Many patients will experience mild disease, while others may develop more severe respiratory symptoms that require hospitalization.   2. Identify the different types of COVID-19 testing and the nuances of each type. 
  3. Identify the various recommended treatments for COVID-19 and when they are appropriate for use.  
  4. Understand the effects of COVID-19 on the body and its potential consequences of respiratory failure as well as how it can be managed. 
  5. Understand the team-based nursing model and how it could be used in the treatment of COVID-19 patients for better and more efficient nursing care.  
  6. Understand the importance of patient and family-centered care during the COVID-19 era as well as how to promote patient and family centered care. 
  7. Identify the different types of COVID-19 vaccines and how they work in providing immunity.  
  8. Understand the potential long-term effects of COVID-19 on the body as well as understand the newly identified strains of the coronavirus.
